Okay Fine, Here’s Your God Damn Hanasaku Iroha
Since JTFish kept pestering me about it and I hit a sudden lack of breakfast entertainment, I decided to give Hanasaku Iroha a try. Being labeled as moeshit and having the character design loosely reminding me of JC Staff’s A Certain Series of Shitty Adaptations, I had initially overlooked this show. But here you have it, all thanks to my Belgian colleague.

First Impressions on Madoka Magica – Welcome to the World of Shinbo
This show has gotten some ridiculous amount of hype over the past season, being trumpeted as something revolutionary produced by the highest standards in the industry and of the ingenuity of SHAFT’s mad scientist director Shinbo Akiyuki. Whereas Fractale will make it or break it for Yamamoto “Yamakan” Yutaka, Madoka Magica is Shinbo’s attempt to kick some serious ass in the magical girl genre. After all, he hasn’t really done anything worth noting since Bakemonogatari in 2009. As such, these both shows are pretty much my highlights for this season. So, is Madoka Magica as awesome and groundbreaking as all the fanboy hordes keep saying?

New Year’s Special: All The Things I Hated About 2010
I think I’ve been taking a bit too easy recently as far as ranting goes, so it’s time to empty the bladder and look back at 2010 in the full glory of its fail and retardedness. Inspired by a vaguely similar rant by ExecutiveOtaku last year.

You Will Never Have Official Touhou Anime, HAHAHA

More like What Would Any Real Man Do?, amirite? I pity the fools who were having a boner the size of the Hindenburg over the thought of this being actually official shit. Hear the undeniable truth. Oh man, nothing beats a healthy cup of malicious glee after a hard week of work.
AAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAAHAHAHAHAAA
August Ramblings – Failing Aggregators, Hypocricy, and Delicious Drama

The summer is over soon! It’s been really hectic for me, with all kinds of stuff from weddings to conventions filling up my weekend schedule. Not to mention that since it’s been the hottest summer in Finland’s entire recorded climate history my workplace and apartment have turned into blazing hellholes. Though now it seems like it’s finally cooling down a bit, thank god. Anyway, on to the topic at hand…

Concerning Asobi ni Iku yo! – Not Sure If Serious…

There you have my Asobi ni Iku yo!-face. This show is either the shittiest shit or the greatest troll ever since Code Geass S2. But let the pictures do the talking.

Summer Public Service Announcement – Less Meta, More Animu
Hell’s yeah, summertime! I was going to post about Amagami SS since I watched the first episode this morning but that will have to wait as Tracon is tomorrow and will occupy me at least until Sunday. For now let’s just say that I’m no exception to what Aroduc pointed out on IRC earlier…
[07:17] (+Aroduc) I’m noticing a theme for everybody who says they liked the first episode of Amagami
[07:17] (+Aroduc) A.) “I like the VAs.”
[07:17] (+Aroduc) B.) “It was calm.”
The Aftermath of a Strike Witches Dare – Kids, Don’t Try This At Home!

Say hello to my Strike Witches face.
A while back mura, my First Reader Ever, dared me to watch the entire first season of Strike Witches. I had dropped the show way back when after the first four episodes for being bland and poorly animated ghetto version of Sky Girls, and I never had any intention to get back to it. But since there’s another season coming and it will once again be a hot topic of discussion, I thought I might as well try it in the name of science. This post is full of spoilers but it’s not like you need to watch this show if you haven’t already. Seriously, it’s probably better that you don’t.
